Questions & Answers

Because it’s not always easy to know what to wear, how to pose, let me give you here a list of the most frequently asked questions !

1.What to wear?

Choose outfits that harmonize without being too matchy-matchy. Coordinating colors and patterns can add unity to the photo. Wear clothes in which you feel comfortable and confident. This will help you look natural in photos. I’ll send you a Dress Code guide when you make your appointment.

2.How to pose?

The idea of our photo session is to have a memory of your couple or family that reflects you. Most of the best family photos are those that capture spontaneous, authentic moments. Let yourself go and be yourself. I’m going to give you a few composition ideas to avoid all photos looking the same (sitting, standing, walking, playing, etc.). I suggest you don’t force smiles or gestures. The idea of this photo shoot is to have fun and interact naturally with the other family members.

3. Do I need to wear make-up and have my hair professionally done?

I recommend that you look the way you’re used to having your hair and make-up done – you need to feel comfortable and confident.

4. How can I relax and take beautiful photos?

Don’t forget that the main objective is to have a good time with your family. The more fun you have, the more natural and memorable the photos will be.

5. What do I need to prepare in advance?

I recommend that you think about our photo session. Select a location that has meaning for your family, such as a park, a beach, your home, or a place where you have special memories. We can discuss your expectations, the poses you’d like to try, and the general mood you’d like for the session. Feel free to browse Pinterest, and create a moodboard, as this will help me understand your expectations. It’s possible to incorporate simple props, like balloons, plaids or pretty toys, can add visual interest to family photos.

6. When is the best time to take photos?

I recommend that you think about our photo session. Select a location that has meaning for your family, such as a park, a beach, your home, or a place where you have special memories. We can discuss your expectations, the poses you’d like to try, and the general mood you’d like for the session. 7. How can I relax my children? My teenager?

Getting children and teenagers to relax during a family photo shoot can be a challenge, as they can sometimes be embarrassed or reluctant to pose.
Talk about the shoot in advance so they know what to expect. Explain that it’s a fun opportunity to spend time together as a family and create beautiful memories.
Select a familiar location where children and teenagers feel comfortable, such as at home or in a place they like to frequent.
Incorporate fun activities into the shoot, such as playing games, having a picnic, or bringing along pets. This can help divert attention and create authentic moments.
Encourage kids and teens to be themselves. Let them choose clothes they like, and don’t force them to pose in a way that doesn’t suit them.
Try to create a connection with your children during the session. Talk to them, make jokes, ask questions about their day, etc.
Props like soap bubbles, balloons, or toys can make the session more fun and help capture natural expressions.
Select a time of day when your children are usually most energetic and in a good mood. Patience is essential when photographing children. Don’t rush them, and we’ll take the time we need to get great shots.

8. How does an outdoor shoot work?

The session itself can vary in length, but generally lasts between 1h and 1h30. I’ll guide you through poses and activities, and above all encourage authentic moments of play, interaction and relaxation from your family. The outdoor environment offers many creative possibilities, especially with light. The idea is to use elements such as trees, benches, paths, water, etc., to add visual interest to the photos.

9. How does an indoor photo shoot work?

We start by choosing a date and time that’s convenient for the whole family. Make sure the room is clean and tidy. You may want to consider moving some furniture around to create a more uncluttered shooting space.
The in-home indoor session can last between 1h and 1h30. I’ll guide you through poses and activities, and especially encourage authentic moments of play, interaction and relaxation from your family.
If possible, we’ll use natural light from well-lit windows to illuminate the session. This often produces beautiful, natural results.
As with an outdoor session, I’ll look to capture a variety of poses, compositions and authentic family moments.
If you wish, you can plan a change of outfits during the session to add variety to the photos.
My aim will be to keep the atmosphere fun and relaxed. Play together, interact naturally, and enjoy the moment as a family.

10. What to do in case of bad weather?

If bad weather is foreseeable, consider moving the session indoors. Choose a spacious, well-lit room in your home, or explore indoor locations such as museums, greenhouses, or public areas. Make sure the indoor space is clean and prepared for the session.
In spite of the rain, we can look for covered areas such as bridges, porches or gazebos where you can take shelter while continuing the session.
We can also postpone the session and find a new date.

11. Private life : what can I post ?

The privacy and respect for the personal life of my clients are one of my fundamental values. I understand that the moments you share with me are intimate and precious, and I am committed to protecting them with the utmost care.

Whether it’s for a wedding, a family photo session, or any other personal event, each captured moment is a precious memory. I firmly believe that these memories belong to you and that their dissemination should be controlled by you.

Protecting your privacy is an absolute priority. I am honored to capture your special moments, and I am committed to doing so with complete respect for your privacy. Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or to discuss your preferences regarding image rights.
